Glossary

Canonical Calypso terms used across the dashboard.

Team

The unit of configuration and data ownership in Calypso.

Member

A person invited to a team.

Roles

  • Owner: full access and team administration
  • Admin: configuration + member management
  • Member: standard access
  • Agent: Inbox-focused access

Customer

A contact record (phone/email + metadata) belonging to a team.

Conversation

A live thread with a customer, visible in Inbox.

Inbox handoff

A flow step that routes a conversation into Inbox so a human can take over.

Flow

A Canvas Flow that defines routing and automation.

Default flow

The flow used when Canvas routing is enabled for a team.

Canvas routing

Team-level routing mode that sends requests through the team’s default Canvas Flow.

Template

A WhatsApp message template, potentially with variables (e.g. {{name}}).

Campaign

A bulk send event using a template and targeting a set of customers.

Knowledge item

A reusable piece of team knowledge:

  • File
  • Website
  • Q&A

Web Widget

A website embed that can show a Q&A experience or a WhatsApp contact widget.
