Accounts & projects

How sign-in, projects, and roles work in Calypso.

Calypso uses account-based sign in. After you sign in, everything you do is scoped to a project.

Projects

A project is the unit of configuration and data ownership in Calypso:

  • Customers are stored per project
  • Shared Inbox conversations are routed and handled per project
  • Workflows, templates, campaigns, knowledge items, and widgets are configured per project

Switching projects

Today, Calypso is single-project for most accounts: after sign-in, you’re placed into your project and everything you do stays scoped there.

If you need access adjusted (members, roles, or project setup), ask an Owner or Admin.

Roles

Roles control what a person can do in a project. Calypso currently supports:

  • Owner: full access, including project administration
  • Admin: manages configuration and members
  • Member: standard access (varies by section)
  • Agent: optimized for Shared Inbox workflows (agents may see a simplified Shared Inbox experience)
If you’re trying to change project configuration (workflows, routing, members, settings) and don’t see the controls, check your role.

Inviting members

Go to Project → Members:

  • Invite members by email
  • Track Active, Pending, and Archived members
  • Set roles and (optionally) adjust role-based navigation presets
