Templates

Template types

Calypso supports template types such as:

• campaign: used for campaign sends
• re-contact: used for follow-ups / re-engagement
• widget: used for widget messages (web widget welcome message)

Statuses

Templates move through statuses such as:

• processing
• pending
• approved
• rejected

Only approved templates can be used in the WhatsApp Actions “send-to-contact” flow.

Variables

Templates can contain variables like:

• {{name}}
• {{appointment_date}}

When you send a template, you must provide values for any variables. Calypso detects the variables used in the template and will show them in the UI (Actions modal) so you can fill them in.
